Allo! Komansava? Oh right, you can't reply... Silly me! I'm Seychelles, also known as Repiblik Sesel, a little Island country in the Indian Ocean. You probably haven't heard of me. Not many know who I am, sadly. I used to be successful! Really I did. But I guess it's not so easy to believe anymore. I'm a little nervous when I meet new people. What if I make a mistake? I really have little talent, I'm not even able to cook my own food. You'd think being raised by the French would mean I didn't have to import anything decent I ate. Apparently not.
I'm quiet a young nation, only gaining independence from Britain in 1976, with settlements tracing back only to 1770. I don't remember much before that.
When it comes to it, I do love England, but he is rather annoying at times, as well as moody and forceful. Wishing he'd treat me better is something I did the whole time I was one of his colonies, but I wasn't extremely badly done too, housing important estates in food crops, cotton, coconuts and much more.
Before Britain, I'd been ruled by France until 1814, after Napoleon was defeated. During French rule, I learnt many policies from relatively famous men. With France himself, I am rather weary, knowing he will make many romantic passes at me, or anyone possible. Though I avoid him at times, I love him as equally as I fear him.
Nowadays, a handful of people from around the world visit my country, not as many as I would hope, but enough to get buy in the costly style of living.
Also, I'm rather close with China (having an embassy in Bejing~), India (He carries out anti-piracy operations in my waters! He's wonderful at it!), Russia (He represents me through his embassy in Paris!) and America (Peace Corps Volunteers serving here in 1974 and 1995 only being part of our small interactions~) as well as anyone who visits being welcomed as family!
I speak 3 languages, English, French and Seychellois creole, though I tend to use English so I can communicate and meet more people!
My hobbies include several of the arts, singing, dancing, writing, painting, you name it! I especially love reciting my folktales to anyone, and will happily tell the tales of Frer Zako or Soungula if allowed.
My favourite animal is fish, of course! Being on an Island means there are many around and I enjoy spending my free time relaxing with them.
Oh dear, I believe I have ranted! I'll go now before I bore you~ Visit me sometime, wi?
Orevwar!
